Keego Harbor Harbor Patient Stabs Mental Health Worker: Police
Suspect faces attempted murder charges in attack left worker at Common Ground facility with a punctured liver.

WEST BLOOMFIELD, MI - A Keego Harbor man stabbed an employee of the Common Ground facility in Pontiac in the abdomen with a small folding knife last week, puncturing her liver, police said.
David Fried, 26, was arraigned in 50th District Court in Pontiac on one count of attempted murder and one count of carrying a dangerous weapon with unlawful intent, the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement. Bond was set at $75,000 and Fried is being held in the Oakland County Jail.
Police said Fried was committed under court order to the Common Ground facility at 1200 N. Telegraph Road on Dec. 3. The following morning, he allegedly stabbed the employee, a 30-year-old woman, as she cleaned the floor. The sheriff’s office said it’s unclear how the suspect obtained the three-inch folding knife used in the attack.
