Maria's Bridal Couture Adds Another Location, Exclusive Lines
Nadica Ristivojevich owns U.S. flagship stores for haute couture bridal designers Orabella and Julia Kontogruni.
WEST BLOOMFIELD, MI – When an ordinary wedding gown won’t do, brides-to-be turn to West Bloomfield-based Maria’s Bridal Couture, which recently opened a second location in Birmingham.
The business started out in Rochester 30 years ago, but moved in 2009 to Orchard Mall in West Bloomfield, where it is the exclusive Michigan location and U.S. flagship store for gowns by Israeli haute couture bridal designer Orabella, owner Nadica Ristivojevich told The Oakland Press.
The downtown Birmingham store at 110 S. Old Woodward features the dramatic, sexy gowns by Bulgarian bridal designer Julia Kontogruni. Ristivojevich said they are “smashing and inexpensive for a couture design.”

It’s the first U.S. flagship store for Kontogruni’s designs as well. A grand opening celebration is planned for 5-7 p.m. Friday, April 1.
