May 13 Job Fair in Oak Park

JVS is hosting a job fair with 37 employers on May 13 in Oak Park. Open to the general public and free for job seekers, the event will run from 8 a.m.-noon at the Jewish Community Center, 15110 W. Ten Mile Rd., Oak Park. Employers will include Talmer Bank, Lowe’s, Home Depot, Suburban Collection, Shinola and more.

Preregistration is not required for job seekers. Onsite registration opens at 7:15 a.m. A panel discussion with hiring experts begins at 8 a.m. and the job fair begins at 9:30 a.m.

In addition to the panel discussion with hiring managers, Job seekers can fine-tune job search skills and strategies in brief one-on-one sessions with JVS and Michigan Works! career experts.

JVS sponsors Job Connection in partnership with Oakland County Michigan Works!, The Jewish Community Center and the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit.
