Photo Workshop Offers Tips for Stunning Winter Nightscapes

WEST BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI – Nighttime photography can be tricky, but an upcoming session sponsored by the West Bloomfield Parks & Recreation Commission aims to take some of the mystery out of it.

Weekly winter nightscape photo workshop classes will be held from 7:30 to 9 p.m. on consecutive Mondays, Feb. 22-March 14, at the Recreation Activities Center.

[RECIRC[Michigan offers a beautiful outdoor landscape to create unique night-time photographs. Students will learn how to use their camera’s bulb setting, tripod and camera manipulation, and how to be more creative in their composition and exposure.

Each week, the class format will be a mixture of lectures and photo shoots at a local park.

A $20 workbook fee goes to the class instructor at the first class. Participants should bring along any camera with full manual settings.
