Surviving the Party Season: Community Resources
There are resources in nearly every community to help parents navigate issues involving their teens.
These community programs and websites are good resources for parents, teens and others navigating the graduation party season:
The Greater West Bloomfield Community Coalition: Offers open meetings, usually on the second Friday of every month at the West Bloomfield Police Department, to discuss issues relevant to the community. The Troy Community Coalition: Nonprofit coalition, 4420 Livernois, Troy, offers several pamphlets including “Parents Who Host Lose The Most” and “A Family Guide to Teen Parties.” The coalition also supports the program and sells the book: The 7 Highly Effective Habits of Teens.
