Three Ways to Spread the Cheer with Lighthouse of Oakland County

Three Ways to Spread the Cheer! Everyone is invited to support their neighbors in need this holiday season.

Lighthouse offers three easy ways to become involved and make an impact on the more than 16,000 people they help move from economic crisis towards self-sufficiency each year.

West Bloomfield resident Jackie Michaelson, an 18-year volunteer for Lighthouse of Oakland's holiday programs said "I keep coming back because I see the good Lighthouse does. I see lives being changed. I am blown away that we helped 900 families last year. We can move mountains."

1) Adopt-a-Family. Hundreds of families in need of basic necessities and a wish list for their children are available for holiday adoption. Visit www.lighthouseoakland.org for more information.

2) Organize a Food Drive: Individuals, service organizations, schools, faith-based organizations, businesses and corporations are all encourage to organize food drives for Oakland County's busiest food pantry, and the only one open five-days-per-week. 3) Make a donation of any amount online safely and securely. Visit www.lighthouseoakland.org. More than 65% of Lighthouse gifts directly support its programs and services that positively impact Lighthouse families.
