West Bloomfield Students Recognized for Works of Art
Here's a look at some of the award-winning scholastic art.
More than 30 West Bloomfield-area middle and high school students have been recognized as award-winning artists in the 2012 Southeastern Michigan Region of the Scholastic Art Awards.
Sponsored by the national nonprofit Alliance for Young Artists & Writers, the Scholastic Art & Writing Competition receives more than 140,000 submissions annually from more than 77,000 students in grades 7– 12. From those submissions, 1,000 winners are selected nationwide.
The Southeastern Michigan Region of The Scholastic Art Awards is sponsored by the College for Creative Studies. This year, five students from the West Bloomfield area were awarded with a Gold Key — Erica Noelle Bauer, Krysten Caudle, Shay Gabbara, Hailey Rozenberg, and Akbar Husain — all of .
