When is the best time to sell my West Bloomfield home?

Some Michigan real estate agents will tell you that you should list your West Bloomfield home anytime of the year. However there is a window of time when West Bloomfield homes sell for more money and when there is more buyer activity.

It doesn't matter whether it is a lake property for sale in Oakland County or a Oakland County home for sale in a subdivision spring and summer are usually the best time to sell. So let's narrow this down......is there a best month or best day? Not really. After our hard Michigan winters there is a little pent up demand from buyers. Many buyers put off going out in the cold and the snow. These home buyers know that there will be more Metro Detroit homes to chose from when the weather breaks.

I tell my sellers that they should be ready to list their West Bloomfield when:

1.) When the grass starts turning green

2.) When the trees are flowering and leaves coming out

3.) And when the weather turns warm

And if you are a West Bloomfield Lake home seller it is when the ice is off the lake. It is something about the warmth and sun that starts our summer market off.

So now that you know that early spring and summer are great times to sell....the question I ask you? Are you ready to sell? Is your home ready to get the top price? Sometimes they miss the peak market.
