• ‘I like helping people': 8-year-old Westland boy raises nearly $2K to restock community food pantry (clickondetroit.com) — A Westland food pantry on Joy Road just got a big boost from 8-year-old resident Wyatt Storch, who raised nearly $1,700 with a grilled cheese fundraiser to restock its shelves. Elmwood Blessing Box, now serving up to 120 families a day, is asking for food donations and sharing extended hours to better support Westland-area neighbors facing food insecurity.
