• Man to be resentenced in 1983 murder case (woodtv.com) — A man tied to a decades-old murder linked to the White Cloud area will be resentenced after a state appeals court ruled his original sentencing hearing mishandled key background information. His conviction still stands, but judges say his attorney failed to properly present evidence about his mental health and childhood, so a new hearing will reconsider whether life without parole is appropriate.
