ACHC & OCCMHA Launch Campaign to Promote Do Your Part: Be the Solution
Do Your Part: Be the Solution initiative to prevent the misuse of prescription drugs and alcohol.

The Alliance of Coalitions for Healthy Communities (ACHC) and Oakland County Community Mental Health Authority (OCCMHA) have teamed up to promote and create awareness for the Stateβs Do Your Part: Be the Solution initiative to prevent the misuse of prescription drugs and alcohol.
Do Your Part was created by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) to educate Michigan residents about the dangers and the extent of substance use in Michigan, especially the misuse of prescription drugs and alcohol.
The program was adopted and supported by the Office of Substance Abuse Services (OSAS) in the fall of 2014, prior to the groupβs transition from Oakland Countyβs Health Division to the public mental health system.

Shortly after the move, OSAS partnered with ACHC to develop a comprehensive, communications strategy to promote Do Your Part through the use of billboard and bus ads, as well as 30 second PSAβs that are running throughout August and September on Comcast Cable television.
The television spots include appearances by teachers, local law enforcement, students, community partners, and Oakland County Sheriff, Michael Bouchard. The videos can be viewed and downloaded from OCCMHAβs website under the Substance Use Disorders link.
