Alumni Athletes to be Honored, Inducted into Hall of Fame

The Hall of Fame ceremony will kick off Friday at 5 p.m. in the front entrance Atrium at Lakeland High School with a welcome recption complete with beverages and desserts. Following the reception, a formal ceremony will be held at 5:45.

Athletic Director Greg Michaels will lead a series of guest sepakers, then inductees and their families will attend the Lakeland boys varsity basketball game. At halftime, the inductees will be formally announced to the crowd and officially inducted into the Hall of Fame.

The Lakeland Hall of Fame was started in 2003 by the Lakeland Athletic Department with coporate sponsor Amera Mortgage. There have been more that 100 inductees and more than 100 teams in the Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame is located in the Lakeland field house main hallway.

The following individuals are the 2011 inductees:

• Jake Campbell, swimming
• Jayson Cronk, hockey
• Sean Staples, hockey
• Trevor Lloyd, hockey
• Justin Amar-Parent, pole vault
• Carlee Meek, softball
• Stefan Morell, cross country
• Lauren Maxwell, volleyball
• Kaitlyn Frantz, volleyball

2008-2009

• Lakeland football - KLAA Division and MHSAA District Champions
• Boys Cross Country – MHSAA Regional Champions
• Boys Tennis – KLAA Division Champions
• Girls Cross Country – KLAA Division Champions

• Volleyball – KLAA Division and Conference Champions
• Girls Basketball – KLAA Division and Conference Champions
