Take a "Walk on the Wild Side" With JARC During Its 15th Annual SpringElation Fundraiser at the Detroit Zoo!
JARC, an organization serving people with disabilities, presents its 15th annual SpringElation fundraiser, an all-inclusive family fun night at The Detroit Zoo on Wednesday, May 22, 2013, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Nearly 2,000 partygoers are anticipated to join SpringElation chairs Dani Gillman of West Bloomfield and Julie Hertzberg of Bloomfield Hills at this year’s event. Festivities include a private evening at the Zoo with a picnic dinner and dessert catered by Quality Kosher Catering, free parking, and access to many of the Zoo’s popular exhibits and attractions, including a special polar bear feeding, and rides on the Carousel and Tauber Family Railroad. Live entertainment will be provided by StarTrax and there will be a special opportunity to get your picture taken with PAWS, the Detroit Tigers mascot. Door prizes will be given away and the event will also feature crafts and games with prizes for kids.
New to this year’s event is a barrier breaking golf exhibit for all from the Simple World of Golf and The Millman N.R.G. Foundation, No Restrictions Golf. The event will also recognize winners of JARC’s SpringElation art contest for students pre-school through sixth grade. Quicken Loans, Title Source, Gilbert Films and Bienenstock Nationwide Court Reporting & Video are the official Presenting Sponsors of JARC’s 2013 SpringElation.
