Baker College of Flint sets annual car, motorcycle show for May 22
The seventh annual Baker College of Flint Car and Motorcycle Show is scheduled for Sunday, May 22, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The seventh annual Baker College of Flint Car and Motorcycle Show is scheduled for Sunday, May 22, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Vehicle owners are invited to showcase their cars and motorcycles for viewing by other fans and the general public, at Baker Collegeβs Center for Transportation Technology (CTT), 1717 S. Dort Highway, Flint.
βItβs time to mark your calendars for this event that has become a rite of spring,β said Phillip Whitmer, Baker College of Flint dean of transportation technology. βThe show is an ideal opportunity for our CTT students and car and motorcycle enthusiasts from across the state to exhibit their vehicles and share their repair and restoration accomplishments.β
For the 2016 event, Baker College will provide awards for the top 25 cars, the top 10 motorcycles, Presidentβs Choice, Deanβs Choice and Best of Show. For the second year, a trophy will be awarded for the top car or motorcycle exhibited by a person aged 18 years or younger to encourage beginning automotive students to showcase their work.

In previous years, more than 350 cars and motorcycles have been displayed, among them were a 1911 Whiting, a 1923 T Bucket, a 1940 Ford coupe, a 1942 Harley Davidson, and a 2013 Mustang and 2014 Hyundai upgraded and renovated by Baker College of Flint students. Clubs, such as the Northeastern Michigan Chapter of the Studebaker Drivers Club, have brought multiple cars to previous events.
There is no cost to enter vehicles in the show, and registration will be available onsite. There is no charge for vendors to have a booth at the event, however they must pre-register.

The public is invited to enjoy the cars and motorcycles, music, vendors, refreshments and on-going tours of the CTT facility at this free event.
