Huron Valley Recreation and Community Education and the Huron Valley Council for the Arts proudly present the fourth annual Got Talent? competition from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21 at White Lake Middle School.
All pre-registered acts will have priority for tryouts from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. with walk-ups allowed after 11 a.m. Limited registration space is available the day of the event. Participants must be in line by 1 p.m. to be eligible to participate.
Pre-registration cost is $10 for solo acts and $20 for group acts, registration fees on the day of the Call for Talent go up to $20 for solo and $40 for group acts.

Got Talent? has become the areas favorite showcase featuring all forms of talent from yo-yo masters to singers and dancers. It consists of three rounds of tryouts: a call for talent, a semi-final, and a final round. Due to popular demand, new this year, the showcase features two categories: one for K-12 students and another for adults 18 and older.

There are some qualifications: A minimum of one member of each Youth Division act must have a KLAA connection (Huron Valley and the following school districts: Brighton, Fenton, Grand Blanc, Hartland, Holly, Howell, Livonia, Northville, Novi, Pinckney, Plymouth, South Lyon, Walled Lake, Waterford, Wayne, Westland). All
Youth Division members must meet K-12 requirement, (excluding piano accompanist).
This year, there will be two $1,000 grand prizes one for the traditional K-12 category and one for the newly introduced adult category. In addition, each of the top three category winners will receive a medal as well as a $100 gift card from our partner sponsors. The grand prize and category winners of the event will have opportunities to gain additional exposure during performances that take place throughout 2012.
Establishing partnerships between local music businesses, dance studios, and other performing-arts-related entities has taken place in order to support and promote the program. Milford Music, a partner from the beginning, has used its expertise to help create the framework for the event. Huron Valley Schools TV and Kickdrum Photography also have offered their services to capture photos and video of the event.
