Physics and Bird Behavior: Looking at Sound

Physics and Bird Behavior: Looking at Sound

at Kensington Metropark Nature Center

Bylistening to the songs and calls of fifteen bird species,
students examine how sound characteristics can be visibly represented.  You will learn to describe bird sounds by
identifying their physical characteristics, and to use such descriptions to
identify bird songs.  You will be able to
discuss the ways in which the songs and calls of birds are affected by ecology.  *Ages 11-14
