The Ugly Duckling Ballet will be performed on 3 days and will include dancers from Modern Messages Dance Company as well as other community dancers, age 8-17. Artistic Director Hollie Bottiglia and Kerry Graney, Director of the Youth Ballet Theatre, present a unique production combining humor and classical ballet. This family-friendly ballet integrates Petipa's timeless choreography of Swan Lake, and the storyline of Hans Christian Anderson's story, "The Ugly Duckling". 

Modern Messages Dance Company's Youth Ballet Theatre is comprised of a select group of ballet dancers, Beginner III-Pre-Professional level, who wish to receive more specialized training and opportunities in ballet. YBT dancers perform throughout the year at family events, sharing interactive, eductional, ballet-based entertainment designed to enrich children through the art of dance and positive messages.

Former YBT events include Storytime ballets like Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella- "Bibbity, Bobbity, Book!", and The Nutcracker Storytime Celebration. Upcoming performances include reading month celebrations at Houghton Elementary School, Milford Library and Garden Gate Preschool.
