John Street in Highland to Close Monday

The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) has announced the closure of John Street in Highland Township for construction.

According to a release from the RCOC the street will be closed between Livingston Road and M-59 while crews begin work on a resurfacing project.

"The road will then remain closed to through traffic until approximately Sept. 19," the release states. "During the closure, the detour for through traffic will be Livingston Road to Milford Road to M-59 and vice versa."

The RCOC said access to homes and businesses along John Street will be maintained at all times - good news for anyone trying to get to , or the Highland Adult Activity Center, both of which are located along John Street.
