According to Scott Rolando, student activities director for Lakeland, the school will win a pep rally and be featured on the news broadcast if the boys basketball game against crosstown rival Milford is voted as the game to cover for Channel 4 news' Local 4 Frenzy segment.
In an e-mail to the district, Rolando said, "If Lakeland vs. Milford wins, WDIV-TV will come out to Lakeland for an early morning pep rally on March 7 and they will cover our game on the Channel 4 news."

As of 3:20 p.m. Tuesday, Lakeland was less than 100 votes away from leader Roseville with 223 votes. The winner will be announced Friday on WDIV's Local 4 Morning News.
