This week's honoree is a softball player heading to Michigan State on scholarship in the fall.
Who: Kelsey Cleary, 18.
School: Recent graduate of Lakeland High School (LHS).
Accomplishment: Cleary earned a scholarship to Michigan State University for softball. She's not only an excellent athlete, but a star student.

Key to awesomeness: Cleary graduated from Lakeland High School in June as an LHS All-Academic Scholar Athlete. She is a four-year varsity letter winner in softball, and during her career she helped lead the Eagles to a state runner-up and two state quarterfinal appearances. She's received numerous all-state accolades and has also played for the Michigan Outlaws. Cleary will be a welcome addition to Michigan State's softball team next year.
