Will White Lake-Highland Area's Warm-Up Last Through St. Patrick's Day?
There's no sign of winter in metro Detroit's long-range forecast, but what does that mean for St. Patrick's Day parades?

The switch to Daylight Saving Time was accompanied by a springlike warm-up that makes that extra hour daylight more enjoyable for bike riding, yard work and other pursuits put on hold for the winter.

It seems so, according to Accuweather.com, which says temperatures will be from about 5 to 15 degrees above average through St. Patrick’s Day, Tuesday, March 17, when it’s expected to be sunny and 53 degrees.
The weather will return to normal to slightly below normal as the Spring Equinox approaches on March 20.

Here’s what the rest of the week looks like, according to the National Weather Service in Detroit:
After work Monday and overnight: Sunny, with a high near 48, southwest wind around 5 mph; clear overnight with a low around 31 and calm winds.
Tuesday: Areas of fog before 11 a.m., otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 52; calm wind becoming southwest 5 to 9 mph in the morning.
Tuesday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 36; west northwest wind around 11 mph.
Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 53; northwest wind around 7 mph.
Wednesday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 31.
Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 44.
Thursday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 29.
Friday: Chance of showers; mostly sunny, with a high near 45.
Friday night: A chance of rain and snow showers; mostly cloudy, with a low around 34.
Saturday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 47.
Saturday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 32.
Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 43.
