• Highland man dead after falling in Duck Lake while cleaning boat (theoaklandpress.com) — A Highland Township man died Tuesday evening after accidentally drowning in Duck Lake, marking the third recent drowning in Oakland County. Among the earlier tragedies was 46-year-old Peter "PJ" Amato of Wixom, who died following a drowning at Child's Lake in Milford, underscoring ongoing water safety concerns across nearby communities.
