As the crow flies ...
Perhaps with the wind at my back I'll get to this walking goal faster? I sure hope so as Winter weather lurks on the horizon.

These past few days, the bitter cold air and raging winds have caused my walk to be a little more expedient, and little less meandering ... kind of just as the crow flies.
That is because it is easier to get those miles walked and under my belt without stopping to linger anywhere.
I figure those powerful winds we had yesterday may have even found the crows flying a little off kilter, despite their best efforts to stay on task.

I’m approaching 700 miles on this 2016 walking journey, and, with any luck, this week’s predicted rain ... freezing or regular, won’t hamper my efforts to keep plodding along.
A lot of the trees are still full of leaves – in the neighborhood the maples are a gorgeous yellow color, but most of the trees with red leaves are already bare. I see the fire bushes all ablaze in their crimson glory ... all but mine, that is. The older those fire bushes get, it seems the more hum drum they become.

As we get through this holiday-shortened week, unlike the industrious souls out there preparing the feast, or looking for bigtime bargains, my needs are simple ... a little R&R and W ... “W” being walking time of course!
