Oh, the weather outside is frightful ...

Feeling Fallish, looking Fallish – I think there is no turning back the calendar now.

Oops ... wrong holiday and wrong season!

But, in my defense, the weather, during the course of the last week, felt very Fallish and awfully frightful, with all this cold and blustery air, and, not just falling temps, but all the falling leaves as well. The high winds from the last few days have caused those beautifully colored leaves to wriggle free and land on lawns and sidewalks.

The trees on the Boulevard, and even in our neighborhood, that have not lost their leaves are just magnificent, all in tones of red, yellow and orange, and, again I say to myself ... there is really no need to go up north to see the fall foliage – we have it right here in our own area.

The weather is not the only thing that is frightful. There was a slew of new Halloween decorations after last weekend, and I took some more pictures yesterday and need to upload them. I realize there is less than a week ‘til Halloween now, but some of these people are so creative with their creepy décor, and I wanted to share the photos in future posts.

I especially like the corner house on Emmons Boulevard at Electric Street, a double lot, which features a ghoulish graveyard in front of their entire property, and, it sure is not for the faint of heart. It will make you shiver more than the cold wind, as it whistles through your wool cap and gloves.

A warm cup of cider, with a cinnamon stick to stir it with, would’ve been perfect after my chilly Fall walk, but, alas – there was only time to have a quick cup of coffee, paired with the season’s first clementines, then get myself over to the computer to log on to work, as I’ve been very busy, and that makes the days go by even faster.

Time is speeding by ... tomorrow is the 300th day of the year and I’ve got 79 more miles to go to reach my goal.
