Spelling Bee for Seniors (50+) in Wyandotte

Last Chance to Sign Up for Wayne County Spelling Bee for Seniors

Would you like to show your children or grandchildren that spelling really does matter?  If so, and you’re 50 years or older, sign up for the Wayne County spelling bee for senior citizens.  It’s set for 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  on Thursday, April 24 at the William R. Copeland Center, 2306 Fourth St. in Wyandotte.

Any Wayne County resident 50 years or older can RSVP as a contestant or spectator by calling 734-324-7292.  You must call in or stop by to register by Monday, April 21 whether you plan to be participate in the contest or just show support and have lunch.

There will be a free lunch, prizes and raffles provided by the county.

In today's world of technology and texting with slang and shortcuts, take pride in showing your family and friends that you are smarter than a fifth-grader and you do know how to spell.  It's fun and again it's FREE.
