Electrical failure briefly pauses water treatment in Ypsilanti (mlive.com) — Ypsilanti’s water treatment plant briefly paused filtration Thursday evening after an electrical failure, sending partially treated but disinfected water through a bypass into the Lower Rouge River. Utilities officials say the skipped step was only a final polishing process, normal operations resumed just after 7 p.m., and the discharged water will be tested to ensure it meets permit standards.

Drivers in Washtenaw County see lowest E15 gas at $4.09 in week ending Sept. 19 (annarbortimes.com) — Ypsilanti drivers are seeing the county’s lowest reported E15 gas price at $4.09 per gallon, compared with a Washtenaw County average of $4.36 and a statewide average of $4.42.
