End Of May Could Heat Up: MN Weather
The latest outlook shows that the Twin Cities have a good chance of seeing above-normal temperatures during the final stretch of May.

MINNEAPOLIS — Things could really heat up towards the end of May, according to the latest mid-range forecast from the National Weather Service and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
The latest outlook shows that the Twin Cities have a 60 to 70 percent chance of seeing above-normal temperatures from May 24 through the end of the month.
Temperatures will remain fairly cool until then, with the weather gradually warming up through the weekend and beyond.

Here's the seven-day NWS forecast from the Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport:
Wednesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 73. Southeast wind 10 to 15 mph.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 59. South southeast wind around 15 mph.
Thursday: Showers and thunderstorms likely before 2pm, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm between 2pm and 5pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 5pm. High near 69. South wind 10 to 15 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Thursday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11pm, then a slight chance of showers between 11pm and 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 46. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 61. Northwest wind around 15 mph.
