MN Medical Cannabis Program To Add Infused Edibles
Cannabis-infused gummies and chews will be available to eligible patients starting Aug. 1, 2022, health officials announced Wednesday.
The Minnesota Department of Health Wednesday announced that it will add infused edibles — in the form of gummies and chews — to the list of options in the state’s medical cannabis program.
Cannabis-infused gummies and chews will be available to eligible patients starting Aug. 1, 2022.
"Expanding delivery methods to gummies and chews will mean more options for patients who cannot tolerate current available forms of medical cannabis," said Minnesota Commissioner of Health Jan Malcolm in a news release.

Before the edibles are available, regulators first must outline new state requirements for labeling, safety messaging, packaging, and testing.
Also becoming available next year for Minnesota patients is dried raw, smokable cannabis, which was approved by the 2021 Minnesota Legislature. That form of cannabis will be available in March, according to state health officials.
