MINNESOTA — The Minnesota Sheriffs’ Association announced Monday that 650 bulletproof vests, 55 helmets, and four shields will be donated to Ukrainian soldiers as they fight off the Russian invasion.
The items donated have reached the manufacturer’s expiration date, but the equipment can still provide protection and will immediately help the people of Ukraine, officials said.
The Minnesota Sheriff’s Association said it developed a personal contact connected to Ukraine who will ensure the donated items are provided immediately to those in need.
