TWIN CITIES METRO, MN — A giant "hole" in the sun brought Northern Lights displays into Minnesota Thursday. The dazzling displays reached all the way south to the Twin Cities metro area.
Curtains of green, purple, yellow, and red graced skies around the globe Thursday night and early Friday morning. As a result, social media feeds in Minnesota and elsewhere in the northern United States are full of pictures of aurora dances.
