(messagemedia.co) — Aitkin County commissioners recently approved a long list of warrants, heard budget presentations for the land and health and human services departments, and backed a Safe and Secure Courthouse grant application. They also declared a state of emergency for Aitkin County after severe June storms and toured a proposed Elm Island Lake RV park site in Nordland Township. 
• Gobblers now 4-0 on the season (hometownsource.com) — Aitkin football fans can celebrate as the Gobblers improved to 4-0 with a dominant 35-14 Homecoming win over International Falls, powered by three touchdowns and 137 rushing yards from Jack Jacobson. Strong defense kept opponents scoreless until late, with Parker Fulton leading tackles and several players contributing big offensive plays.
