📰 News we're reading
• Left-over bond proceeds to pay for communications center upgrades (hometownsource.com) — Anoka County is putting up to $1.1 million in leftover bond funds into new security fencing, reconfigured workspaces, and a badly needed 911 phone system replacement at the Emergency Communications Center in Andover. The upgrades aim to fix crowding, improve dispatcher visibility, and resolve persistent call-handling glitches, all at the Andover-based hub that now handles countywide 911 and radio operations.
• STMA Invitational 2026 (milesplit.com) — Andover cross-country runners turned in solid performances at Thursday's STMA Invitational, with Aaron Misoi, Owen Lebeau, and several Huskies teammates placing well in the boys 5K and Leah Jongekryg leading the Andover girls. The massive meet featured schools from across the metro, giving Andover athletes a strong mid-season test and families a clear look at individual times and depth across both squads.
