• Pleasant Lake drowning: Teen kayaker went under while fishing, authorities say (fox9.com) — Residents near Annandale should know authorities have confirmed an 18-year-old kayaker drowned Monday evening on Pleasant Lake, just north of town. Wright County deputies say Cameron Mertens of Watkins fell from his kayak while fishing and went under about 75–100 yards from a dock before being located by the sheriff’s dive team.
