Living on the Mississippi River inspired Donna Bahls to protect water (state.mn.us) — Anoka County Library's Northtown branch in Blaine will host the We Are Water MN exhibit Oct. 8–Nov. 30, highlighting local rivers like the Rum and Mississippi. Man charged with killing 1 and hurting 4 at mental health facility — his third violent case in 5 weeks (kstp.com) — A Zimmerman man already facing attempted murder and assault charges is now accused of killing one person and injuring four at a Minneapolis mental health facility, with related cases spanning Sherburne, Hennepin, and Anoka counties. For Anoka-area residents, he's also charged with assaulting staff and security at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, with a first court appearance on those county charges set for Oct. 26.
