Donald John Martin—much loved husband, father and grandfather—age 85, passed away surrounded by family in his home in Lakeville on Oct. 16, 2012. Don, a longtime resident of Apple Valley, is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Patricia; sons, Steve (Sheri) and Greg (Brenda); five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Don was a 43-year employee of Northwest Airlines and a special deputy for the Dakota County Sheriff's office for 18 years. During retirement, Don and Pat enjoyed many years together in Arizona. Don will be deeply missed. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Don's family would like to thank the Fairview Home Care and Hospice staff for their care and support.
