Joanne C. Newell, 63, of Rosemount passed away peacefully Oct. 26, 2012, surrounded by family. Joanne was a high spirited and loving wife, mother and grandmother who spent most of her life traveling around the world. She will be missed by many. Preceded in death by husband Donald; parents Ted and Lillian Rosen. Survived by daughters, Kelsey (Danny) Mirkovic and Kari (Andrew) Schwab; granddaughter, Mina Jo Mirkovic; brother, Donald (Rita) Rosen; nieces and nephews Erika, Bart, Matt, Jessica and Sara. Memorial service Wednesday, Oct. 31, at 11 a.m., with visitation 9:30 to 11 a.m. at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 12650 Johnny Cake Ridge Rd., Apple Valley. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the American Cancer Society . Private interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
