
Marilyn Dahl Countryman, 80, of Apple Valley, passed away Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 2, 1932, in Minneapolis to Andrew and Hilda (nee Larson) Dahl. Marilyn is survived by her husband of 57 years, Jerry; son, Bruce (Katie); daughters, Carol (Bill) Lenington, and Darlene (late Dave) Countryman-Jones; grandchildren, Sara, Kim, Ben, Daniel, and Roxann; brother, Orville Dahl; and sister, Lorraine (Don) Dickman. She graduated from the University of Minnesota in Education and taught in various schools, including Greenleaf Elementary in Apple Valley. She was proud of her Norwegian heritage. Marilyn loved her family, gardening, quilting, sewing, and walking the Minnesota Zoo. She was an inspiration to all who knew her, and she will be forever loved and treasured. A Gathering of Family and Friends is scheduled for 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, followed by a 10 a.m. memorial service at the Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Ave., Apple Valley.
