Photos: Apple Valley Girls Lacrosse Defeats Eastview 8-5

It was a tale of two halves at the girls lacrosse game played between crosstown rivals Eastview and Apple Valley, as the Eagles came out on top 8-5.

For every goal Apple Valley scored in the first half, Eastview was able to quickly counter to cut the Eagles' lead down to one. The game appeared to be up for grabs heading into half time with Apple Valley leading 5-4.

In the second half, the Eagles tightened up on defense by only allowing one more goal to the Lightning. The Apple Valley team seemed to be one step ahead of the Eastview team, by picking off passes, gaining possession of loose balls and scoring three more goals.

After building their lead up to 8-5, the Apple Valley team remained aggressive on defense and held possession for as long as they could as the clock wound down to zero.
