Apple Valley Girls Lacrosse Wins Season Opener

The Eagles got three goals apiece from Hannah Segar and Katrina Vogelgesang, while Ashlynn Seely made 11 saves.

The girls lacrosse team opened up the season Tuesday with a 13-1 win over Hill-Murray in Apple Valley.

The Eagles (1-0) dominated the game defensively, led by a strong performance by goalie Ashlynn Seely. Seely saved 11 shots on the night, surrendering the lone goal on a penalty shot.

On the attacking end, juniors Hannah Segar and Katrina Vogelgesang each scored three goals on the night.

Apple Valley’s next game will be at Cretin-Derham Hall in St. Paul on Saturday.
