Apple Valley Neighbor Reports Break In, 1 Sent To Jail

The neighbor witnessed someone knock on the door for 10 minutes before breaking a window to get in, according to police.

APPLE VALLEY, MN — One man was arrested and taken into jail after breaking into an Apple Valley home, according to police. On Feb. 7, Apple Valley officers were called to a house on Glasgow Lane in Apple Valley on a report of a man trying to break in.

The caller, a neighbor, told authorities in the past there had been domestic assault incidents at the house. The neighbor watched a man knock on the back door for 10 minutes before breaking a window to get in, according to police.

Police found the broken window, which had been covered with a bedroom pillow, and could hear movement in the house.

The homeowner was contacted and came to the house. She said it was most likely her boyfriend — who is legally banned from being at the home or near the woman — who had broken into the home.

The man was arrested and taken to jail.
