The Apple Valley Relay For Life is an annual community event that raises money for the American Cancer Society. In 2013, over 155 members of the community came together to help raise nearly $35,000!! This year's Relay will be held on July 18th 2014, at Quarry Point Park. Here is a general description of what you can expect from a Relay For Life Event:
- Organized, overnight community fundraising walk
- Teams of people camp out around a track
- Members of each team take turns walking around the track
- Food, games and activities provide entertainment and build camaraderie
- Family-friendly environment for the entire community
