Apple Valley's Kris Goodman Commits to Iowa for Baseball
Goodman is the newest addition to the Hawkeyes' 2011 recruiting class.
Apple Valley High School student-athlete Kris Goodman has committed to the University of Iowa for baseball, the latest addition to the Hawkeyes' 2011 recruiting class, according to a press release from hawkeyesports.com.
Goodman captained the Eagles' baseball team this past season, and was named best offensive player and most valuable player on the team, and earned all-South Suburban Conference honors, the release says.
He also batted at least .425 in all his high school baseball seasons, and was a three-year hockey letter winner.

Among Goodman's athletic accomplishments outside the school realm:
- He was selected to play in Major League Baseball and USA Baseball's Breakthrough Series in 2010, an event for standout high school junior and senior baseball players.
- He played in the Chicago White Sox Double Duty all-star game for high school baseball players.
