A Rural Man Living in a Semi-Urban Community

Let me break it down for you. I am a married, mid-20s father who wears a tie to work everyday—very unique I know. I was born and raised in central Minnesota and now living in the ‘burbs’ within Apple Valley. My wife and I purchased our home in the spring of 2010. 

I’m still not sure what to think about this city; being a suburbs husband/dad is all still too new to me. I do miss the corn fields, country air and small town feel that I grew up with. But maybe I will learn something from the city and people of Apple Valley. 

So far I am enjoying my life here with my wife and baby girl. The past few years of my life have been all about changes and new experiences. I look forward to seeing what comes next.

I plan to blog about lifestyle, community and recreation, as well as a few random thoughts I’m sure. I consider myself having a young man’s drive with an old man’s mind. I look forward to sharing some of my thoughts, opinions and stories about my life in Apple Valley.
