Leprechaun Days - fun for all ages
Leprechauns in July? Yes, it is Rosemount's Leprechaun Days. A week filled with fun for all.
Lots of green, Blarney Stones, Run for the Gold, Irish Story Time and even SHAMROCK SHAKES at McDonalds!!! No, it is not St. Patrick's Day... It is Leprechaun Days in Rosemount! The last full week in July jammed packed with fun for all ages. One of the hottest weeks of the month and people come out in the masses to partake in all the activities to celebrate Rosemount - home of the Irish! There are things to do for ALL AGES, and most of them are FREE! Our family didn't do as many of the acitivites as hoped only due to scheduling conflicts. But the week is definately JAMMED PACKED with things to do. If you have never experienced Leprechaun Days or are new to the area, here is a taste of what you are missing: card tournaments, Bluegrass Festival, Wiffle ball tournie, Hamster and Gerbil races, Kiddie parade, Medallion hunt, Sidewalk chalk contest, Blarney Stone hunt, Bathtub races, Bingo, Hula Hoop contests, Penney Scramble....the list goes on and on. One of the favorites is Wet n' Wild day at Jaycee Park - kids go (parent free!!) for two hours of water fun - slip n' slides, games, and LOTS of water. Perfect for that HOT summer day. It is Friday and we still have the parade, carnival (look for the vendor with peanut butter mini donuts - THE BEST!), beer garden, live music and of course the fireworks. Rosemount knows how to celebrate! Come on out and enjoy the last couple days of Irish Fun!
