With Break-Ins Up, Rosemount Police Urge Residents To Lock Cars

Rosemount Police are increasing patrols in neighborhoods, but say residents should not leave valuables in vehicles and to close garages.

ROSEMOUNT, MN – After receiving reports of several break-ins into cars recently, Rosemount Police have increased patrols in local neighborhoods, but are asking residents to protect their belongings.

The Rosemount Police Department wrote in a social media post on Wednesday that some residents have provided officers with surveillance video showing suspects on camera trying to get into vehicles. Once they discover a vehicle is locked, they tend to move on, police said.

Police said that reports have come in of suspects either attempting to take items from vehicles or to steal the vehicle.
