Dakota United Adapted Hockey Teams Wrap Up Season With State Tourney Appearances
The Dakota United CI and PI adapted hockey teams finish successful seasons with play at state.
The Dakota United adapted hockey teams' seasons came to an end on Saturday afternoon at the 2011 State Adapted Floor Hockey Tournament at Bloomington Jefferson High School.
In the PI Division, Dakota United won their quarterfinal game against Anoka - Hennipen by a score of 10 - 2 on Friday night. Saturday proved more difficult, as the Hawks dropped their semi-final game to Brainerd/Pillager by a score of 7 - 5 and lost the third place game 4 - 3 to Maple Grove.
The CI Division squad ran through their bracket and into the championship game. The Hawks defeated Mounds View/Irondale/Roseville 13 - 6 in Friday night's quarterfinal game. Dakota United earned a spot in the finals by soundly defeating Maple Grove 8 - 1 in the semi-final game.

Anoka - Hennepin was too much for the Hawks to handle, as they fell 13 - 6 to settle for a second place finish in the CI Division.
