The Dakota United CI and PI adapted hockey teams finish successful seasons at state.
The Dakota United adapted hockey teams' seasons came to an end on Saturday afternoon at the 2011 state adapted floor hockey tournament at Bloomington Jefferson High School.
In the physically impaired division, Dakota United won its quarterfinal game against Anoka-Hennipen 10-2 on Friday. Saturday proved more difficult, as the Hawks dropped their semifinal game to Brainerd/Pillager 7-5 and lost the third place game 4-3 to Maple Grove.
The cognitively impaired division Hawks squad ran through its bracket and into the championship game. The Hawks defeated Mounds View/Irondale/Roseville 13-6 in Friday's quarterfinal game and earned a spot in the finals by defeating Maple Grove 8-1 in the semifinal game.
