Eastview Legion Baseball Wins District 3 Title
The Thunder will advance to the state tournament, which begins Friday.
The Eastview American Legion baseball team won the District 3 tournament on Saturday in Burnsville, earning a second-straight berth in the Minnesota state tournament.
The Thunder went 4-0 in the district tournament Wednesday through Saturday and won the title with a 7-2 victory over Burnsville on Saturday at Alimagnet Park in Burnsville.
The state tournament will be held in Eden Prairie beginning on Friday.

Second-seeded Eastview (26-6) opened up the tournament with an 11-1 win over Hastings. The Thunder followed it up with a 13-2 win over Northfield and a 9-2 win over Stillwater to set up a showdown with top-seeded Burnsville.
District 3 will send three teams to state. Burnsville rebounded from the loss to Eastview by defeating Eagan 16-6. Meanwhile, Lakeville North beat East Ridge 9-4 to take the third spot at state.
