Eastview Names New Girls Varsity Basketball Coach

Melissa Guebert will replace Paul Goetz as the head coach of the girls varsity basketball team at Eastview High School.

Eastview High School has named Melissa Guebert the new head coach for its girls varsity basketball team for the 2011-12 season, according to a news release.

Guebert will replace Paul Goetz, who will remain with the team as an assistant coach but stepped down after 14 years as head coach so he could spend more time watching his son play basketball at Rosemount High School during the basketball season, the release says.

Guebert has been a traveling team coach for basketball with the Eastview Athletic Association for the past four years, the release says, coaching her teams to an 89-4 record in the past two years. She also was a high school varsity assistant coach in Conyers, GA.
