
The public is invited to the Apple Valley Seniors Showcase on Friday, March 30, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The Apple Valley Seniors have 800 members and currently offer over 45 activities and interest groups. Live demonstrations of several of the programs will be conducted throughout the 2 floors of the Hayes Community and Senior Center, 14601 Hayes Road in Apple Valley.
Apple Valley Seniors, sponsored by Apple Valley Parks and Recreation, are involved in several community activities including support of nearby elementary schools. Seniors collect school supplies in late summer, Christmas items for parents in need for their children and for children to give to their parents.

Quilts are made and donated to local charities as are hats, scarves and mittens for schools and hospitals. Volunteers donate time to the Feed My Starving Children organization. Members also donate items and help in the packaging for mailing to active military members.

Apple Valley Senior members are active in bowling, line dancing, Wii bowling, computer discussion group, bridge and other card games, pool, table tennis, yoga, painting classes and more.
New programs recently begun include Spanish classes, bicycle group, creative writing, tap dancing, music jamming group and others.
Come and learn about the Apple Valley Seniors. Adults 55 and over, or whose spouse is over 55, are invited to become members of this active organization. Refreshments and door prizes will be offered.
